The Settlers: New Allies is now available on Console

Today, Ubisoft releases The Settlers®: New Allies on Xbox One, PlayStation®4, Amazon Luna* and Nintendo SwitchTM. The series is coming to consoles for the first time with adapted controls as well as fully supported cross-play and shared progression across all available platforms, including PC. With backward compatibility, the game is also available on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation®5.

Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, The Settlers®: New Allies is a modern take on the long-established The Settlers’ franchise, combining elaborate infrastructure and economic gameplay with tactical real-time battles. Starting with a small group of Settlers, players must explore their surroundings, build up their settlements and optimize resource production to recruit new settlers and an army able to protect their land. Researching economic and military upgrades is critical to create a strong army and overcome rivals.

The Settlers®: New Allies console version includes all game modes and content already available on PC:

  • A story-driven campaign with thirteen campaign missions.
  • A multiplayer mode for skirmish battles in Solo vs. AI, co-op vs. AI or PvP featuring up to eight players, with thirteen skirmish maps.
  • The Hardcore mode for players willing to test their adaptability and strategic skills in a solo or co-op PvE environment.

Powered by Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop engine, the inviting and lively medieval-fantasy world of The Settlers®: New Allies offers colorful environments and detailed animations across thirteen diverse skirmish maps available at launch.

30 Years after the debut, the Build-up Strategy Series returns with The Settlers: New Allies

The Settlers®: New Allies, the newest installment of the legendary build-up real-time strategy game series, will launch on Windows PC tomorrow, February 17th, 2023. The game will be available through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Players will also be able to access the game through a Ubisoft+ subscription at launch.

  • The Hardcore mode will give players an opportunity to test their adaptability and strategic skills as they face the AI in challenges featuring a wide range of modifiers and conditions.

With backward compatibility, the game will be available on next-gen consoles: this means that players will be able to play the Xbox One game on Xbox Series X | S and play the PlayStation 4 game on PlayStation 5. The Settlers: New Allies will launch on PC on February 17th, 2023

Today, Ubisoft reveals that The Settlers: New Allies will launch on Windows PC on February 17th, 2023 and is available for pre-order now on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. The game is also in development for Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon Luna and Nintendo Switch.

In this build-up real-time strategy game, players will settle onto a new land, build their communities, meet new factions, and choose to welcome them as allies or enemies in order to protect and defend their new settlement.

Players can enjoy The Settlers: New Allies in one of three game modes:

  • Single-player campaign: As the Elari are forced to flee its homeland, they must settle on new and unknown territories. These new Settlers will have to face many challenges on their journey, from the raiding of ruthless bandits to the discovery of the new culture of these lands.
  • Hardcore Mode: As players will be able to play new scenarios, a wide range of modifiers and conditions will make the AI an even more challenging opponent. Adaptability is key in this new mode that will put the best players to the test, alone or with friends.
  • Skirmish: Players will be able to experience Solo vs. AI, co-op vs. AI or PvP featuring up to eight players on the 12 maps available at launch.

Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Players can expect a fresh take on the popular The Settlers series, built from the ground up using Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop Engine.

New Year, New Adventures Await: Ubisoft Announces The Settlers Will Release on PC March 17

Players Will Embark on a New Land and Encounter New Challenges on the PC Closed Beta that Begins January 20

Today, Ubisoft announced the much-anticipated return of The Settlers, the build-up real-time strategy (RTS) game where players must settle onto a new land, gather resources to build their communities, recruit fellow civilians (or Engineers) and form military units to protect and defend their new settlement.

The Settlers will release on Windows PC on March 17 and is available for pre-order now on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Additionally, players can participate in the upcoming Closed Beta, which begins January 20.

Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, The Settlers returns as a reboot mostly inspired by The Settlers 3 and The Settlers 4, two of the most popular games in the franchise. Players can expect a fresh take on the new The Settlers, built from the ground up using Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop Engine, The Settlers sets a new visual benchmark in the RTS game genre. Traditional and new players will experience lush and colorful environmental biomes, as well as modernized gameplay. Players can enjoy The Settlers in one of three game modes: Single-Player Campaign, Onslaught and Skirmish (Solo vs. AI, Co-Op vs. AI or PvP featuring up to eight players).

In The Settlers, the Elari (one of the factions in the game) are forced to flee from their homeland and must settle on new and unknown lands. Adventure awaits as The Settlers come across other citizens and face tough challenges on their journey. There are a total of three playable factions in The Settlers, each with a unique look, playstyle and respective background story.

At release, The Settlers will be available in three editions:

  • Standard Edition: Base game
  • Deluxe Edition: Base game, deluxe pack and other digital goodies

Players participating in the upcoming Closed Beta can expect to experience: Tutorial, two playable factions and two Skirmish modes, 1v1 and 2v2. Players will be able to play the Closed Beta for an unlimited time between Jan. 20-24 on both the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. The Closed Beta pre-load will be available on January 18th.

The Settlers Releases New “Meet The Team” Video Series

Düsseldorf, 30. January 2020 – Ubisoft releases today the first video of its new “Meet the Team” series for The Settlers. With these videos, Ubisoft Duesseldorf grants a special insight behind the scenes: various members from the international team working on the game’s realization right now, will be featured in each episode. Apart from the work in the studios, they present unique insights into the world of the developers that create the game.

The series kicks off with Edgar Bittencourt, Art Director at Ubisoft Düsseldorf. As a fan of the first settlers from start, Edgar introduces his role as Art Director in which he organizes a huge graphics team and provides the project its unique graphical identity, and let viewers participate in his own personal story.

The Settlers thrills players’ hearts now over 25 years with its hard-working figures, creating detailed and flourishing settlements and economic cycles by only one mouse click. COLOGNE, GERMANY — August 20, 2019 — Today at gamescom, Ubisoft announced that The Settlers will release on PC in 2020 and revealed more details about the Glory winning strategy, as well as brand new gameplay features. Led by Volker Wertich, the original creator of the franchise, and developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, the latest version of The Settlers brings back the best, modernized elements from previous The Settlers titles, combining them with brand new features and gameplay systems. The Settlers is available for pre-order now on Uplay PC via Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store, and will be available on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service. The Settlers can be played both in PVE and PVP, and features three modes for players to enjoy: Campaign, Skirmish and Multiplayer. Powered by Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, the game will use the new procedural map generation technology of landscapes and missions, bringing to players an authentic sense of discovery, exploration and uniqueness.

Players who immerse themselves in The Settlers’ colourful open world will discover stunning visuals and the innumerable details of the Wuselig, or bustling, feeling, specific to the brand’s DNA.

Among the features in the upcoming installment, The Settlers will offer alternative methods of victory, including:

  • The Combat strategy: Players would control full armies of different units, taking on and defeating enemy armies to take over or defend their territory. Special units such as army leaders can have a positive effect on their troops.
  • The Glory strategy: Players would select a hero character who will fight in the arena against the enemy. Once a player initiates a battle, spectators representing both sides will gather at the arena to watch the battle. Winning a fight can lead to dissatisfaction among the defeated party. This however can lead to revolts, allowing the player to take over the enemy territory.
  • The Faith strategy: the third winning strategy will allow players to inspire Faith amongst Settlers and will be detailed at a later date.

On top of that, Ubisoft revealed the editions of the game at gamescom:

  • The Settlers® Standard Edition includes the base game. Players will sail towards the unknown, explore, conquer, and settle new islands in a brand new medieval fantasy world. Players can enjoy their experience playing solo or with friends with the new online multiplayer mode offering thrilling skirmishes for long-lasting fun.
  • The Settlers® Gold Edition: allows players access to the game three days earlier, the Expansion One “Monuments & Merchants” and two decoration items, the Gazebo of Tranquility and the Wishing Well.
  • The Settlers® Entdecker Edition, a unique physical pack only available in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland, will offer to lucky owners the following assets in addition to the base game:

The Settlers History Collection is now available

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — November 15, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced the release of The Settlers® History Collection for Windows PC on Uplay. Developed by Ubisoft Blue Byte, The Settlers History Collection contains all seven main titles of the strategy build-up series, along with all expansions. Every game has received updates to run on modern PCs with Windows 10 support as well as other improvements to the original versions. The Settlers History Collection is available digitally on Uplay, and each game can also be purchased individually.
